2019 National Restoration Movement Conference
Thursday, 10th October @ 9:00 am - Friday, 11th October @ 4:00 pm
Simple Uncluttered Christianity
Join a conversation with the faculty of Stirling Theological College, and the Australian College of Ministries
Being part of a ‘restoration’ movement, means we have always valued the idea of rejecting human rules and organisational structures, getting back to a simple, uncluttered model of New Testament discipleship. This means that every community of believers has the freedom to start with a blank piece of paper—returning to the Word and Spirit, rediscovering simple Christianity in their context, and following a plea of ‘We just want to follow the Bible—and not be afraid of where God leads us!’
Both Stirling and ACOM, the Churches of Christ Colleges in Australia, have always championed these ideals. This conference is designed to explore what simple Christianity looks like: in the past, the present and the future. With various keynote sessions as well as discussion forums the faculty of Stirling and ACOM will explore together the values, practices and imperatives of the Restoration Movement and ask the question: What are the best pieces of the past that we want to take with us into the future?
Whenever there is rapid change in society, there is an opportunity to call all people to rediscover the core elements of Christian discipleship. Simple Christianity, without the religious clutter. Join us for this discussion about who we are and where we are going.
