School of Leadership

The world's not standing still. Neither can your leadership skills. ACOM's School of Leadership specialises in thought leadership and training for church leaders, volunteers, boards, welfare staff managers and team leaders in the not-for-profit community sector.

This School is not just an academic pursuit, we are committed to the practice of leadership. We work with students to create a study path that complements their ministry and leadership calling, with assessments that incorporate real-life learning tools.

Whether you are just starting out on your leadership journey or already serving in a ministry or leadership field and want to incorporate your experiences into your studies, our degrees are flexible enough to enable you to specialise and pursue God's calling for your life, while working with academic staff who are seasoned ministry ministers or practitioners, each committed to seeing life and community change.

Our goal is to partner with and support you, while you earn recognised qualifications that will equip you for your journey.

The School

ACOM is dedicated to cultivating visionary leaders who are equipped to transform the landscape of churches and non profit organisations. Our curriculum integrates cutting-edge leadership theories with practical applications, focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities within these vital sectors. By emphasising strategic thinking, ethical decision-making, and effective community engagement, we prepare our students to lead with integrity and impact.

Integrated Pathways

The School of Leadership includes single units on leadership at Diploma level all the way through to the dedicated Master of Leadership award for those in, or pursuing, senior leadership roles. At every level, students will engage in contextual leadership content that can be implemented in their relevant contexts. The flagship Master of Leadership award is particularly designed to allow experienced and aspiring leaders to develop and refine their leadership skills to effectively lead change and empower others to work towards the organisation’s shared vision.
