ACOM Welcomes Churches of Christ in Western Australia into Membership

As the Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) continues its commitment to forming people for Christian ministry, we are delighted to formally welcome Churches of Christ in Western Australia (COCWA) into Membership of the College.

This marks a significant milestone in ACOM’s vision to serve as the ministry training partner for Churches of Christ across Australia. In recent years, Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania have joined ACOM in membership, with Queensland following in 2025. COCWA’s decision represents a further strengthening of this growing national collaboration.

ACOM and COCWA have shared a strong relationship for many years, with ACOM training many Western Australians for lives of ministry. This step formalises that partnership and reflects a shared commitment to developing well-formed, mission-minded leaders for the church today and into the future. ACOM looks forward to working closely with COCWA leadership to better understand and respond to the leadership and ministry formation challenges facing the church in today’s context.

Mr Steve Poisat, Executive Minister for COCWA, said:
“This is a significant step for COCWA as we intentionally deepen our partnership with ACOM, who have been a trusted ally for many years. We are excited to work together in forming people for ministry, alongside our fellow Churches of Christ state bodies across Australia.”

Mr Neale Meredith, Principal and CEO of ACOM, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Churches of Christ in Western Australia into the ACOM family. Their passion for ministry and mission strongly aligns with our vision to equip leaders who will shape the church in the decades ahead.”
