Are you passionate about developing new leaders? At ACOM, our internship pathways give you the opportunity to develop and disciple emerging leaders in your context, as we partner with you to provide accredited study to complement their on-the-ground ministry training.

Designed as a one year ministry and study experience, key focuses of an internship include: 

• Spiritual formation
• Mentoring and discipleship
• Biblical and theological study
• Practical ministry training in your church/organisational context

Interns will study an Undergraduate Certificate in Ministry with ACOM - a four unit ministry award that can be completed in one year. The Undergraduate Certificate in Ministry has been designed to be very practical and experienced based. The emphasis is on giving students a hands-on learning experience that is grounded in their current ministry context – your church!

A typical study pattern for internship students looks like:

1. Spiritual Formation
2. Supervised Ministry
3. Introduction to the Old Testament/Introduction to the New Testament/Introduction to Theology
4. Elective unit

If you have interns who have completed prior study, they also have the option of enrolling in the four unit Graduate Certificate in Arts.

• A supportive and encouraging environment for your interns
• A ministry placement for each student (3 hours per week)
• Ministry supervision for each student (18 hours over the year)
• A mentor for each student (10 hours over the year)
